The Problem
The fouling of our parks, reserves and walk ways through dog faeces continues
unabated, despite the hefty fines imposed by councils!
Do we simply accept the danger to our and our children’s health - and the
unsightly and stinking mess at storm water exits
into our uniquely beautiful waterways?
The Solution
It is now perfectly clear that the posting of fines by
councils will not on its own make an appreciable impact
on solving the problem.
Bans on dogs from certain parks and reserves have
met in several instances with reactions from dog owners
and rate payers - akin to revolts!
The solution to the problem is this:
Authorities responsible for the maintenance of parks, reserves and walk ways
must become pro-active and provide dog owners with the facility on the spot to
dispose of the faeces.
